Don't expect to be paid more money to move to VTB Capital

VTB Capital is still hiring internationally. Atanas Bostandjiev, chief executive of VTB Capital's United Kingdom and international business, told Reuters he wants to more than double VTB's international headcount to 120 people over the next few years.

Bostandjiev makes frequent pronouncements about VTB's international expansion plans and said in February that 80% of the bank's senior level was completed.

This time, he's told Reuters that quite a few people are now applying to work at VTB. As candidate numbers increase, VTB no longer needs to pay a premium to attract people, said Bostandjiev.

"Two years ago it was more difficult to attract people to VTB Capital, you had to pay the Russian premium. But critical mass brings critical mass,' Bostandjiev told Reuters. "We're definitely not overpaying compared to what people are getting elsewhere."
