This is where you will find 16 new financial services jobs in Glasgow

If you’re looking for a job in Scotland and have been unable to sniff one out, the latest newsletter from Glasgow’s International Financial Services District contains some pointers.

Firstly, it proclaims the formation of 6 new underwriting jobs at commercial insurance company NIG (part of RBS). NIG already employs 12 underwriters inGlasgowand wants to add 6 more over the next 12-24 months as it seeks to, “explore opportunities in the SME market.” It’s already begun recruiting.

Secondly, financial information provider Interactive Investor wants to add another 10 people to its Glasgow-based team. Director, Douglas Boyce said the company had chosen to expand in Glasgow because of its, “quality experienced staff.” Boyce didn’t elaborate on the precise types of staff they’ll be looking for.
