If you work or want to work in M&A in Scotland and are wondering where to orient your CV, information provider Experian had released an overview of M&A in the country in the first quarter of 2012.
They show that M&A was comparatively strong versus the same period of 2011, with big deals including the purchase of Robert Wiseman Dairies and Zenith Oil Field Technologies.
Rothschild, RBS and Barclays top the Scottish M&A league – although there’s some discrepancy according to whether you rank by deal number of the value of deals. Simmons & Co, the energy-focused boutique investment bank with an office in Aberdeen, is also a biggish player in Scottish M&A.
