For Recruiters

This is how much you should earn as an accountant working for the Big Four in Scotland

Recruitment firm Hudson has produced its new 2012 salary survey. Buried at the end are some interesting figures for how much you can expect to earn in salary as an executive, manager, associate director, director, or partner working for a Big Four firm or small to mid-sized practice in Scotland. The figures are remarkably similar by practice area. Notably, the Big Four pay anything from 25-33% more.

Surprisingly perhaps, senior accountants in public practice are paid salaries as high - if not higher - in Scotland as in London. Whilst an audit partner in Scotland can expect a salary of £100k+ according to Hudson, in London the equivalent is given as £95k.
