With this in mind, you may be interested in a new ranking of the largest Arab banks, produced by the Union of Arab Banks.
According to the UAB, these were the top players, ranked by assets, at the end of 2011.

2. Qatar National Bank ($76.9bn)
3. Emirates NBD ($74bn)
4. National Bank of Abu Dhabi ($65.9bn)
5. Saudi Al Rajhi Group ($56.7bn)
6. Saudi American Bank Group (SAMBA) ($50.2bn)
7. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank ($49.8bn)
8. Kuwait Finance House ($48.4bn)
9. Riyadh Bank ($48bn)
10. National Bank of Kuwait ($47.4bn)
