Despite the concerns about its future, Clydesdale Bank is still hiring
Clydesdale may not seem the best bank in Scotland to join right now. As was widely reported a few weeks' ago, the bank - which has 4,200 staff in Scotland, including retail bankers and private bankers - is being reviewed by its parent company, National Bank of Australia. The review will be completed in May, upon which it's thought Clydesdale will either be sold off or "shrunk dramatically." This doesn't sound particularly promising given the bank has allegedly been looking for a buyer for the past two years.
Despite the uncertainty about its future, a quick perusal of Clydesdale's careers site reveals it's still hiring in Scotland - albeit not particularly ferociously. It currently has 7 roles on offer in total, of which three are Scotland-based.
It also describes itself as a good career bet on the grounds of its stability.
