INTERVIEW QUESTIONS: Credit Suisse, IBD, graduate position

QUESTION: 

Tell us about yourself?

ANSWER GIVEN: 

I responded by talking about where I finished school and how I came to the UK to complete a university degree before looking for a graduate position in the banking sector. I also told them how I spend my free time - in my case this is volunteering because it allows me to learn while helping the community.

QUESTION: 

Why our bank?

ANSWER GIVEN: 

Because it's a multinational organization that operates more than 50 countries and it has very multicultural environment. This fits with my values.

QUESTION: 

Tell us about your strengths?

ANSWER GIVEN: 

I am a team player and a good influence on people who makes them feel motivated. As my degree is in a numerical field, I am also good at looking into details and spotting mistakes.

QUESTION: 

Do you have any examples of times when you used your own initiative?

ANSWER GIVEN: 

When I volunteered to teach maths to children from poor family backround, I encouraged companies and individuals to help children to buy their stationery. When the project was successful, I sent them a little thank you certicate that I designed.

QUESTION: 

Where do you see yourself in next five years?

ANSWER GIVEN: 

I would like to be responsible for managing a team and possibly train graduates within the company. I would like to make consistent development towards my career and maybe gain a professional qualification while I am in the company.
