After a period of inflation, salaries for financial technologists have generally remained static for the past six months and, in the current climate, it's unlikely that any pay rise will be on the table.

But are you earning market rate? Recruiters Hudson have provided us with a preview of their 2012 salary guide for banking and finance. It's extensive, and we'll post a link to the full report when it's live on their website. In the meantime, we've pulled out some of the highest paying roles in financial technology for your perusal.

Points to note are that, on the infrastructure side, working in data management has become among the most lucrative career paths, while salaries for business analysts and project managers working on risk and finance-related projects are now nearly on a par with those in the front office.
