Readers of our student centre will know that we endeavour to offer regular news and advice on how best graduates can break into banking. However, you we'd also like to draw your attention to our comprehensive annual publication, Careers in Financial Markets.

It aims to guide students through every sector within financial services, offering tips and suggestions from industry insiders about how to break into, and progress, in your career as well as insights into the roles you can move into and the pay you should expect.

We cover everything from front office investment banking positions and hedge fund jobs to roles in accounting and IT in finance.

This is the 11th edition of Careers in Financial Markets, and for the first time in 2011-12, we've made the guide global. This means we introduce you to the various strengths of financial centres around the world, as well as offering insights into the application process in different countries.

It also means guiding you through the application forms, telling you what graduate recruiters want to see on your CV, interview techniques (both generic advice and specific questions you can expect for certain divisions) and a what to expect in the dreaded assessment centres.
