INTERN DIARIES: A female intern at JPMorgan has passed away

This year, we will be running diaries from interns in investment banking (IBD) and trading. The submissions are accessible via the links below. This week, one of our interns says a markets intern has JPMorgan has tragically passed away. JPMorgan declined to comment.

    sorry about the intern but i just can't stand people going gaga over JPM. do you think it's right that mgmt should take references from a mate they used to work with? if so does this not show slight conflict? especailly if the senior mgmt and this 'friend' are more than just ex work colleagues?

    condolences to her family, but its fair to say that this kind of publicity is bad for JPM. But as Jay mentioned above, it could be a wake up call for big nobs to think about (if this is the reason why).

    The death of the intern at JPMorgan was referenced because it was a significant event for the banking intern community in London this week. We wanted to make it clear that we were aware that this had happened and to give people the opportunity to share their condolences.
