This is how much you will earn as a graduate starting out in an investment bank and this is how many people applied for your job

The annual survey from the Association of Graduate Recruiters is out. It reveals two particularly notable things:

1) Investment banking pays more than all other industries (NB. figures below are for salary alone and will be increased by bonuses.)

    Andrew - Am not a first year anymore, but does not seem low to me as a starting salary, especially excluding bonus

    & BO/MO are still part of Investment Banking, why would you think otherwise dearest? It means what it means.

    "Investment Banking" here must mean something different to what I think - no one in front office IBD earns that little. Maybe if you include *everyone* starting out in an Investment Bank - but that would have to include a lot of BO/MO staff.
