Tell us your killer interview questions for equities jobs and you could win an iPad

Equities are where the growth is this year. They are also where the hiring is: according to one financial strategist, fixed income currencies and commodities have come to the end of a 10 year bull run; equities are merely at the start of one.

This being the case, we want to help people who want to get jobs in equities.

In particular, we want to help people attending equities interviews. And we want you to send

us your interview questions.

If you send us your most challenging questions from equities, sales, trading and research interviews, we will enter you for a competition to win an iPad 2.

To be eligible for the prize, you will need to do the following:

1) Email us your challenging equities interview question at <a href="mailto:editor@efinancialcareers.com"Editor@eFinancialCareers.com, preferably with 'Equities Question' in the subject line.

2) Let us know what sort of job within equities (sales/trading/research) the question relates to.

3) Let us know how you'd ideally expect this to be answered.

4) Let us know whether you ask this as an interviewer, or were asked this as an interviewee.

5) Tell us the organisation at which you were asked this question, or the organisation you asked this for (if you're the interviewer).

All submissions will remain strictly anonymous. We may reproduce the best ones on the site.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon.

The rules:

· Closing date for interview question submissions: 20 May 2011.

· Entrants must fully answer points 1) and 5) above to be eligible for the prize

· Questions and answers will only be published anonymously.

I have a question (does not fill all 5 points so no entry..) I am always asked and find difficult to answer, maybe Sarah Butcher could offer tips:
" are you in negiotiations with anyone else at the moment ?" is invariably asked by headhunters and employers I find. Now, you cant really say "No" without sounding desperate and if you say "yes" then you area asked to name names... any ideas?

FICC has come to the end of a 10 year bull run?

Are you serious? Do you read the financial press, and see how Commodity coverage dominates? Or realise that FX is still (easily) the biggest asset class by volume (and growing)?

Equity Trading Intern position interview. I was asked are you in a relationship. When I replied no, I was then asked, "do you get much sex?"
when I responded a similar amount to my peers, the interviewer then asked me how I could maximise the ammount of sex i got. He basically wanted me to come up with a trading strategy for getting more sex. quite funny really!
