    I think it is 10080. Let us call the three possible steps as X,Y,Z. So we need to find permutations of {X,X,X,Y,Y,Y,Z,Z,Z}. Since three are repeated, the number of permutations = 9!/(3! x 3! x 3!) = 10080.
