Lunchtime Links: MD promotions have been delayed
In normal circumstances, senior investment bankers would have gone through the immense excitement of discovering who's going to be promoted to MD several weeks ago. This year, they're still waiting to be told.
Dealbreaker alerted us to this sad state of affairs with a post pointing out that Morgan Stanley would-be MDs have been living in a state of heightened anticipation for far longer than is normally the case. The same appears to apply to Goldman Sachs, which has in the past announced its MDs in November (even after changing its year end), but has so far only publicly revealed the identity of its new partners.
