Late Lunchtime Links: What will Colm Kelleher do to Morgan Stanley Europe?

Colm Kelleher, Morgan Stanley's co-president of international securities, is coming to London. On one hand, this is a great thing. As the Evening Standard points out, his presence is a coup for the City. On the other hand, it may be a bad thing. Financial News reports that Morgan Stanley executives have been grumbling about the state of revenue growth in Europe. Is Kelleher coming to shake things up?

Maybe. There are ongoing rumours of redundancies at Morgan Stanley; as ex-CFO, Kelleher has had a hand in cuts past. His presence is bound to cause slight unease, even if he is simply arriving to oversee the bank's expansion in rates and FX.

Erm, but before he was CFO at MS he was always based in London, being the global head of fixed income for MS if my memory serves me correctly.

So not quite sure where the coup is.
