People: Jefferies hires Citi's Michael Tedesco for M&A
Jefferies Group hired Citigroup's Michael Tedesco to run its U.S. M&A business and oversee global technology dealmaking. [Marketwatch]
Lazard has hired Naguib Kheraaj as chief executive and deputy chairman of Lazard International. Kheraj is the fomer CEO JPMorgan Cazenove, the bank's joint venture with Britain's Cazenove Group.[Reuters]
Add Hans Morris to the list of financial services veterans who have gone over to the private-equity side. The former Visa Inc. president and Citigroup veteran was named a managing director at General Atlantic LLC. He'll oversee global financial services investments, after serving as an outside adviser to the firm for the past year. [American Banker]
Genworth Financial Wealth Management hired former Fidelity Investments executive Michael Kim as senior vice president of business and channel development. Kim will head a new department to support those advisors servicing high-net worth investors. These include Genworth's core market of independent broker-dealer advisors, as well as registered investment advisors. [PRN]
London-based investment management firm Polar Capital has hired David Keetley, Steve McCormick and Kendrick Li away from London- and New York-based Vicis Capital in order to launch a global convertibles hedge fund. [Reuters]
