Tuesday's People: Northern Trust Expands Global Fund Services

Northern Trust created new positions in its global fund services business, naming Paul Fahey director of global product management and development, Marc Mallett global head of client conversions, Fiona Horsewill as global head of PMO/ Architecture Strategy for GFS; and Mark Herraman, head of investment operations outsourcing client service for the EMEA region.

Credit Suisse appointed James Hong as CEO of its private bank, to be based in Hong Kong. [Reuters]

Citigroup named Catherine Weir as head of its new global family office group, which previously was part of Smith Barney.

Barclays hired Jon Pratt as head of debt capital markets for Asia to oversee the division outside of Japan and Australia. Pratt, who will be based in Hong Kong, joins the firm from U.S. wealth manager Rockefeller & Co., and previously served as head of Asia-Pacific debt origination at Merrill Lynch. [Bloomberg]

Gartmore said Gervais Williams will leave the firm, becoming the second manager to do so in the past two months. The London-based fund has seen its assets under management fall from 22.2 billion to 19.9 billion in the first half of this year. [Finalternatives]
