REVIEW MY CV: Help! I am very bored in the Big 4

I'd like to go into an Analyst position

within Banking or something similar. I need something more exciting and

brain challenging than my current role. Feedback would be great!

Taking ownership of ad hoc projects such as reviewing and analysing pricing information which involves having to produce outstanding pieces of work in a very small time frame.

Led the model updating process for Forecasting/Budget

Integrated well into a multicultural environment and helping to organise events within the team and business to widen my network and raise my profile

Role/ Contribution:

Using Advanced Excel functions (macros, lookups, IF statements, pivot tables, Essbase, VBA) to analyse business unit data such as TNR and headcount

Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills when presenting results and opinions based on my analysis to senior managers and directors

I travel abroad quite often; very fond of coming across new ways of life, new people, cultures and food. I also enjoy painting, maintaining a stock portfolio, cooking, baking cakes, swimming and going to the gym.

    I think that you are lucky to be in the position you are in now at a Big4. I assume you have the exp. to wipe away your poor academic performance.

    I have seen some people who made it into a bank with a 2.2, but even then they have straight A grades until then and a few internships at a BB!

    lol well girly is good if anything, they tend to make much better networkers than men ... too many people on here clearly have zero people skills/chips on their shoulders.

    I know some quite successful people with 2:2 degrees in banks. Admittedly they joined 10 years ago but lets face it, you don't need academics to be a revenue generator and sales is one of the most rewarding ibanking careers (in terms of both financial and career rewards). But it really is quite unclear what exactly you wish to achieve. Its difficult, there are so many interesting things to do and of course you won't know whether you like them until you have done them.

    If you aren't 'front office' yet then you need to get there. Then MBA would be safest route but only from top organization.
