Tell us your killer interview questions, and you could win an iPad

With a view to helping our readers prepare for interviews, we're collecting interview questions, and suggested answers.

If you've ever conducted an interview or been interviewed for a non-entry level role, we want to hear from you, whether it was for an investment bank, a hedge fund, fund manager or other financial services firm. We're inviting you to send in the most challenging interview questions you've come across, and your suggested responses to them. We'll aim to collect these for publication on the website, anonymously, naturally.

To stimulate participation, everyone who sends in questions as per the rules below will be entered for a prize draw to win an iPad.

We'd like the entries to be as detailed as possible, so it's imperative that you include -

1) The position you were interviewing for

2) The institution you were interviewing for/with (this isn't obligatory)

3) The killer question in as much detail as you can muster

4) The best and worst candidate responses you've come across (if you were the interviewer)

5) The response you gave (if you were the interviewee)

6) Whether you got the job (if you were the interviewee).

Send your entries to our editors at <a href="mailto:Editor@eFinancialCareers.com"Editor@eFinancialCareers.com.

We look forward to hearing from you imminently.

Rules:

· Closing date for interview question submissions: 16 Jul 2010.

· Entrants must fully answer questions 1) and 3), at the minimum, to be eligible for the prize draw

· Questions and answers will only be published anonymously.

· Following an independent draw, one winner will be awarded a new iPad Wifi 32Gb, value 499.

· No cash alternative can be substituted for the prize.

· Winners will be notified of the results by email on 23 Jul 2010.

from my experience , the one question one has to master is to answer
" Tell us about yourself" , basically in all my interviews where i got the job offered , i have always been asked this and as long as i answered somehow related my anwered to the job and made the interviewer feel that i am the right one becuase i enjoy doing what i am doing and and extra keen to go further with it. YEs if the job is technical , then i had to show my technical experties , but it didnt have to be 100% correct as long as i showed that i had the stemina , capabilty to deal with all kind if issues.
All my sucessfull interviewed were judging me on my technical as well as my communication skills. The role i had been interviewed for had been for a very technical role but more then 70% of the interview was based on judging my personality and my communication skills. Whether or not i am a good fit for the existing team....
In interviews i am always tested for what if i get the situation / issue which i havent dealt with before ..how would i go about resloving it.
My answer was to stay calm and collective but precise and clear about my actions and work effectively , able to see through problems.

@contestant - to clarify it should be "winner". There will, unfortunately, only be one iPad.
