Lunchtime Links: RBS is hiring lots of equities analysts
No sooner had RBS promoted Chris Sloan as global head of cash equities, and no sooner had Sloan declared his intention of, building 'an equity broking capability on the institutional investor side in... Australia, Asia and European product,' than it appears that RBS is ramping up in equity research.
According to Financial News, RBS has hired 15 equity researchers since September and wants to hire another 15 equity analysts this year; it will be apparently be announcing "a handful" of hires over the coming weeks.
If working at RBS as an equity analyst doesn't appeal, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and Evolution are also said to be keen on analyst hires. And, as we reported in March, Macquarie, Jefferies, Unicredito, Collins Stewart, and Investec are also recruiting.
