Lunchtime Links: Shock as senior banker appears to choose London over Asia!

Asia, as we all know, is where it's at. It's somewhat surprising, therefore, that a senior banker with experience in Asia should choose to throw it all in for London.

And yet this appears to be what Tim Throsby, former head of Citadel Investment Group in Asia, is doing. According to Finalternatives, Tim will be coming to London as global head of stock derivatives and regional head of equities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for JPMorgan.

Throsby's move may not be inspired by the delights of the UK tax regime, but it does suggest the Asian market isn't as awash with jobs as we may think. According to Bloomberg, Throsby left Citadel in November 2008. It's not clear what he's been doing since.
