Nomura, DCM, (graduate)
Question:
Tell me about a time when you received some unfair criticism. Why did you think it was unfair and how did you react?
Answer:
I will not repeat what I said but my advice is to try and think of a professional or academic example and not a personal one. The interviewer was very aggressive and kept interrupting me, making it difficult to formulate a coherent response. Nomura likes to ask very strange competency-based questions (Tell me about a time when...), which are sometimes hard to anticipate before. This is an example of one that caught me off guard and which adversely affected my performance..
Question:
Tell me about a time when you had to go out of your comfort zone.
Answer:
Similar to above. In hindsight something good to talk about would be any promotion you might have done for an event, approaching people you wouldn't normally talk to.
