If you had your life over, what would you do differently?

And the answer was:

The candidate said: "I said there was very little I would change as I am very satisfied with my life and have no regrets. It was a very tough question, with bear traps all around it. I know that if I had gone down any other path it would have shown weakness or worse a dissatisfied or whinging employee. I recall thinking "is this a therapy session, and obviously we all have things we would change?" I was asked to go back for a second interview, but I politely turned the opportunity down as I had received a firm offer from another PE firm which I had wanted to join."

The process of life is about learning, so one is bound to make mistakes and learn from them. We take the knowledge learned and the experience gained to the next steps in our life. It may not be necessary for a person to live his / her life over again. I think it is more important that we gain levels of awareness that we can continue to live consciously so that there are no huge regrets when we lie on our death beds!

lol candidate's answer was good but not sure how he/she stopped them self from saying one thing I would do different is not interview here.
