The three highest paying jobs in the City in 2009

Following on from yesterday's table showing bonus projections by sector, we've elicited some figures for bonuses from Options Group (the '"leading global executive search, market intelligence and strategic consulting firm with a focus on the financial services industry").

They're forecasting that the following three roles will be the highest paying in London for 2009. Estimates are based on average compensation at first, second and third-tier institutions.

1) Commodities sales

Director: $150-200k base salary, $650-800k bonus (up 50% y-o-y)

Managing director: $250-400k base salary, $2-4m bonus (up 45% y-o-y)

2) Equity cash trading

Director: $150-200k base salary, $650-800k bonus (up 40% y-o-y)

Managing director: $250-350k base salary, $1.5-2m bonus (up 50% y-o-y)

3) High yield credit sales

Director: $150-200k base salary, $400-600k bonus (up 50% y-o-y)

Managing director: $250-350k base salary, $1.3-1.7m bonus (up 50% y-o-y)
