REVIEW MY CV: I moved to the Middle East for love and cannot find an investment banking role
An eFinancialCareers reader has bravely put forward their CV for some constructive criticism in a bid to enhance their job-hunting potential. Below is their profile (with all personal details removed) and little about their search for new employment so far. Can you offer some tips about where they may have been going wrong and what, exactly, can be improved about their CV?
"I have been looking for a role in investment banking since autumn 2008 having moved to the Middle East with my partner's job. I'm aware that the current situation has meant that there are very few roles on offer at the level I am targeting, but wonder if there is anything you can suggest to help me improve my CV. I'm worried that my CV looks a bit fractured due to leaving my previous investment banking job for the relocation, is there anything else that I may be missing or need to highlight more?"
