Financial News has unearthed a lucrative job in the public sector. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWIP) is looking for a chair of its board of trustees and is willing to around 1k a day for 100 days' work a year.
The role will involve overseeing investment managers and administrators for the national pension scheme that's launching in 2012. Eligible candidates don't need particular academic requirements, but will need to be, "a very senior figure from the investment, fund management, financial services and pensions community with a reputation both for outstanding strategy, innovation and consistent delivery of results with an exceptional track record of achievement in a sizeable and complex organisation."
