Tell me, what is wrong with my CV (2)

Following on from last month's CV review, another brave candidate has submitted their CV for you to offer constructive criticism. Below is their profile (with all personal details removed) and little about their search for new employment so far. Can you offer some tips about where they may have been going wrong and what, exactly, can be improved about their CV?

"My preference is to work in the investment banking sector, within the business domain, as senior business analyst or project manager. However, I am unable to secure an interview after usual interest because I think my CV is not focused either in IT or business or on a particular technology or business functional area are eg. fixed Income, equities etc. My experience over the last 13 years is varied as I have actively sought to work in all areas of investment banking and I think that has now disadvantaged me."

You posses excellent education and experience. You avail opportunity to get work experience at different levels, its not your fault. An employee from the incepetion to present, to gain work experience & salary by switiching the position in similar field to learn new things, which is a challenge. None has the experience from mothers womb. "(Fell in the well and learn how to swim)". The Human Resources department which is one of the expensive huge staff than any other department, shortlisting the CV by seeing the format, style, fonts, education, experience, appearence, salary, age, voice. They do not know the selection process and they loose an potential incumbent. Suffice to say that do not depress and start applying.

This is like a James Joyce novel in length and no one has the patience to read through it. You personal profile alone is nearly 200 words. Your CV should be 2 pages of A4 MAX. You highlight the most relevant jobs to the position you're applying for and strip out the stuff that is going to get you nowhere. This is BASIC stuff, please sort it out...
