Nordea most popular financial services choice for Finnish students

While it seems a large number of students in Finland still want to work for financial services firms, the industry is relatively low down their priority list.

With the exception of Nordea, which ranks 4th in Universum's 2009 Finnish Student Survey, the majority of financial services firms are not particularly popular.

Research firm Universum takes in responses from over 11,000 final and penultimate year students on the top 100 most attractive firms to work for.

Communications giant Nokia is the most popular choice, followed by Finnair and L'Oreal. Nordea takes fourth spot, but the next financial services firm is Ernst & Young, which ranks 10th.

Elsewhere in the Nordic region, in particular Sweden, financial services remains a popular career choice.
