RBS not popular with graduates
It might not be a massive surprise, considering the terrible year they've endured, but Royal Bank of Scotland is not a very popular destination for undergraduates.
Universum UK's annual student survey takes in responses from 11,000 final and penultimate undergraduates studying in various subjects, including business. RBS has slipped to 41st out of 100 firms in terms of employer attractiveness - down from 18th the previous year.
In spite of the current crisis, financial services and investment banking remains the second most popular area to work in, with only Citi and RBS falling down the league tables. Several other banks - including Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, Barclays Capital and Lloyds TSB - actually rose in the rankings.
It might have been hogging negative headlines for some months now, but this isn't good news for RBS, which still needs to attract graduates. It wouldn't be drawn on specific numbers, but admitted it was reducing its graduate intake from the 500 recruited in 2008.
JPMorgan, which some are claiming to be the best bank in the world, has claimed the top spot away from long-time winner PricewaterhouseCoopers. Goldman Sachs comes in third.
Here's how financial services firms ranked:
