Lunchtime Links: Would female traders really have made a difference?
It seems unlikely that female caution would have prevented the current situation, but contemplating a proliferation of female traders is a welcome distraction from events in the markets. The Times today devotes a lot of space to the notion that women would not have got us into this situation. This follows an article in the Financial Times yesterday, which rued the fact that recent recruits to investment banks have largely been 'hyper aggressive alpha male types'. Time to wear a pink tie?
