For example, the FT reports that the County Register - an introduction agency that charges a whopping 10k for 18 months' membership - saw an influx of new business last year.
The internet provides cheaper options for financial professionals on the hunt for love, like City Dating, City Crowd or Speed Dating in the City. Though perhaps the thought of conflicting busy schedules and the prospect of spending all your time with fellow bankers might not be too attractive.
Business big-shots looking for a less salubrious option can bag themselves a sexy gold-digger at Sugar Daddie, where "successful men seek attractive women". Tasteful.
But are things really as bad as that? Can you balance the requirements of your career with a healthy love life? Or will you be spending this Valentine's Day with your laptop and a ready-meal for one?
