Question:

Have you truly considered the lifestyle and work environment of an investment banker?

Candidate's answer:

I've talked with several peers to get a sense of what I'd be in for if I took this position.

Question:

What makes you think you'd be good at the transactional work of a junior investment banker, but also able to operate as a salesman as you progress in your career?

Candidate's answer:

I'm very interested in the transactional roles of an associate, but am more interested in the longer-term opportunity to become more of a salesman, and will relish that role because of my ability to persuade and build relationships.
