Dublin before Edinburgh, behind London

The Emerald City is going up in the estimation of global finance workers. But it's still not as popular as the City of London.

Twice the number of financiers we asked in a recent relocation poll said they fancied relocating to Dublin rather than Edinburgh. But both cities lagged a long way behind London as the city of choice.

What makes Dublin so popular? It seems to be down to the Irish lifestyle - most of our respondents said work/life balance was their main reason for moving.

They're certainly not coming for the pay. A third of those we asked said they'd even be prepared to take a pay cut to move to Ireland.
