Alvarez & Marsal Plans San Francisco Office
Advisory firm Alvarez & Marsal added a number of staffers to its national practice, which serves private equity firms, hedge funds and corporate acquirers. Among the new hires is Deloitte & Touche alumni Alexander Chan, who was named director and will set up a new office in San Francisco.
In Chicago, Geoff Weber has joined the company from KPMG as a director, while Andrew Henoch joined from PricewaterhouseCoopers as a senior associate. In New York, Brad Goldsmith, formerly of Ernst & Young, joined as a senior associate.
Chan specializes in buy-side financial due diligence for private equity investors and strategic buyers. He was a manager of mergers and acquisitions services with Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco, and before that was with the transaction advisory services practices of Arthur Andersen and KPMG.He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business and a master's in business administration from University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
Mr. Weber specializes in buy-side financial due diligence for private equity and strategic investors. He's led or participated in more than 50 transactions across a range of industries. Before joining A&M, Weber was a director of transaction services with KPMG in Chicago. He received his bachelor's degree in accountancy and international business from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
