Northern Trust pushes deeper into Ireland

Northern Trust is continuing to grow its fund administration business and has moved into a new building to make room for newcomers.

Vic Holmes, managing director of Northern Trust Ireland says, "Having additional space also means that we can continue to expand our team and capabilities in Ireland." A company spokesperson told eFinancialCareers.com," We've grown a lot in Ireland over the past year, and we are continuing to hire, absolutely."

The company has seen a rapid period of expansion and currently has over 400 employees in Dublin. WEALTHnet says the group saw staff numbers swell to more than double the number it had at the start of 2005 after purchasing Baring's Financial Services Group.
