More bankers to sue over pay?

Nomura's troubles are not over as yet another of its bankers files a legal claim against the bank over pay. Are there others in the pipeline?

The Times says Stephano Ghersi, former head of debt capital markets for Nomura claims he was unfairly dismissed, suffered a breach of his employment contract, and has not received all of his salary.

This follows former senior bond trader Luis Marti-Sanchez's 7.5m claim against the bank, and the Times says other Nomura staffers may be poised to take similar action against the bank.

Could this spark a spate of copy-cat lawsuits as bonus time approaches? The Evening Standard says bankers may consider launching legal suits against employers who think about shorting on bonuses this year, or even avoid paying them with a wave of redundancies.
