Investec expands into Scotland
Investec Private Bank has expanded into Scotland by hiring Derek MacKenzie into its property finance team. The growth comes at a time when demand for property investment is booming.
The Scotsman says MacKenzie has experience with Barclays Bank in Edinburgh and the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was instrumental in the creation of structured property finance at both institutions.
No word on if Investec plans to hire in more to work alongside MacKenzie.
