Goldman Sachs has hit Dubai. The investment bank has been granted a license to set up shop at the Dubai International Financial Centre alongside the likes of Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse.
Hiring would appear to be on the cards. In a press statement, Goldman says: "We...intend to expand our business in the region immediately."
A spokesman for the bank told eFinancialCareers the firm plans to offer a comprehensive range of services to clients in the region, but declined to say precisely what they might be.
Speculation suggests private wealth management services are likely to be in there somewhere.
