Fidelity hires for research
Fidelity has doubled its number of research staff in the past year, and plans to continue hiring.
The Financial Times reports that Fidelity has hired 90 analysts in the past year, doubling its number of research staff in the process.
The move represents a break with tradition - Fidelity has traditionally nurtured talent in house, says the FT.
Separately, Simon Ellis, head of multi-manager at Fidelity International told Wealthbriefing that the company plans to make a number of hires. "We are looking for another person to work.....in distribution; we will also be looking to hire for some research positions."
The company also aims to double its product range in the UK and internationally in the next 12 months.
