Coutts to boost UK office numbers

Royal Bank of Scotland-owned private bank Coutts & Co. is to open an office in Milton Keynes in three weeks and announcements of further office openings are expected soon. New hires are expected.

A company spokesperson says Coutts is in a growth phase and is also looking to fill positions vacated by private bankers Nigel Humphreys and Martin Brown, both of whom have left the Hampshire office to join SG Hambros.

On another note Wealthbriefing.com reports that Coutts' head of UK private banking, John Williams, has been suspended in relation to "an internal matter."
