Deutsche Bank Securities names Gunewardena for prime brokerage
Deutsche Bank Securities has hired Goldman veteran Mel Gunewardena as global head of fixed income prime brokerage and added six more to its global markets division.
Gunewardena comes to the bank after a 12-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where he was a managing director and global head of fixed income derivatives prime brokerage. He previously worked for Chase Investment Bank in London as a vice president and head of investment banking operations.
At Deutsche, Gunewardena will become a managing director and global head of fixed income prime brokerage within the global markets division. He will be based in New York.
The fixed income prime brokerage falls within global finance, and offers fixed income products to hedge fund clients.
