Merrill suspends 20, may need replacements
The bank has suspended more than 20 staff at its Dublin operation after they were caught sending pornographic material by email, reports The Irish Times.
Merrill Lynch didn't return calls enquiring whether the suspended staff will be replaced with new hires. However, a quick perusal of the bank's website reveals it's already recruiting avidly in Ireland, with jobs across everything from IT to settlements, risk and loan administration.
In the tight Dublin hiring market losing employees who send lurid material by email is probably something the US-based bank can do without.
