Jobs to go at DrKW?
As many as 1,000 jobs could be cut at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and German-based Dresdner Bank, The Independent warns today.
The paper says the cuts may form part of a shake-up to be discussed tomorrow by Michael Diekmann, chief executive of Allianz, the German insurance giant which owns Dresdner.
Last month Financial News reported that London-based staff at DrKW were growing increasingly concerned at the bank's growing German focus following the replacement of chief executive Andrew Pisker with Stefan Jentzsh, former head of corporate finance at German bank HVB.
