Charles Stanley hiring in institutional equity sales
UK private client stockbroker Charles Stanley will keep hiring despite a decline in client confidence and recent market volatility.
David Howard, chairman of Charles Stanley says the company will be hiring this year, particularly in institutional equity sales, the Financial Times reports. The company will continue to hire managers with a discretionary client base.
Howard says stockbrokers make money whether clients were buying or selling, and recently named Richard Hickinbotham as head of institutional equity sales.
Last year, Charles Stanley opened new offices in Glasgow and Birmingham, and poached a high-profile team of fifteen stockbrokers from Dryden Wealth Management.
