BarCap Continues Hiring Spree

Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of the UK bank, has appointed Anne Daley director and head of financial institutions for the Americas and Laurent Rimmen as director of fund derivatives sales.

Daley spent the past 26 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was most recently a vice president in U.S. syndicate, working with preferred and hybrid securities, bank and finance trades, and insurance company issuance.

She will be based in New York and report to Mark Bamford, managing director and head of Americas syndicate.

Rimmen joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was a director in the global markets division's North American structuring unit. There he oversaw hedge fund derivatives activity in the Americas.

Rimmen will also be based in New York and report to Philippe El-Asmar, managing director and head of BarCap's investor solutions team for the Americas.

Last week the firm ramped up its leveraged finance business with eight new hires, and also appointed Kevin Callaghan as director and head of structural loans in its U.S. real estate capital markets group.
