Northern Trust goes Dutch
Dutch-speaking custodians looking for job opportunities may be interested to learn of expansionary aspirations at Northern Trust.
The custodian and asset manager is growing its new Dutch office, and adding Dutch support staff in London.
Financial News reports that the company has opened an office in Amsterdam to represent its asset management and asset servicing capabilities. The new office comprises two relationship management staff, two sales staff.
Paul Cutts, managing director of the Dutch office, told eFinancialCareers.com there are plans to hire one other relationship management specialist in Holland and one more Dutch-focused relationship manager in London.
He says they're likely to be locals: "We've been determined to recruit a team of local Dutch-speaking staff, and have hired them largely out of the Netherlands market."
