Business analysts sought in Ireland

An IT company that provides services to hedge funds may be looking to hire as many 15 people business analysts in Dublin.

Kanbay International, a global IT services firm that provides solutions to the securities and hedge fund industries, is opening a new office in Dublin. If all goes well, managing director Nick Bennett, says he may look to hire between 10 and 15 extra staff in Ireland.

The focus will be on business analysts. "We already have offshore programmers that we can use," says Bennett. "What we are looking for are people who can back up our existing infrastructure."

He says potential hires could come from across Europe: "Right now we have a Scots guy, and English guy, an Irish guy and an Indian guy. We don't want to restrict ourselves to hiring in Ireland, where we'd be competing for staff with our clients."
