Mellon expanding in Ireland
Global Pensions News reports that Mellon Financial Corporation is expanding in Ireland with a new European-based hedge fund service.
DPM Mellon, the hedge fund administration subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation, is setting up in Dublin alongside the company's existing Investment Manager Solutions business which currently employs over 90 people.
Initially the team will be staffed with a number of internal movers. Kevin Corcoran, head of hedge fund administration at Mellon, who has moved from New Jersey to head the new Dublin-based team, tells eFinancialCareers.com there are no plans to add staff at the moment, but says outside hires are a distinct possibility as the business grows.
