Wheat hires Hannon from Armstrong

Hannon had been a partner for five years at Armstrong after joining in 1995. She was active in Germany and other Continental countries as well as the UK.

At Wheat, Hannon will cover all areas of equities as well as corporate finance. She said: 'There is gradual growth in hiring, though not a boom. Senior staff who can think across equities, equity-linked products and equities derivatives will be in demand this year.'

Armstrong said its equities practice is now headed by Victoria True, a consultant.
