Sheffield Haworth expands
Julian Bell, who was head of equity capital markets at Société Générale for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, joins as a director responsible for the corporate finance, equity capital markets and private equity divisions.
Five other staff are joining as associates in areas including legal, global markets, wealth and asset management and global equities. They include Laetitia Glossop, who joins from Hicks Muse Tate & Furst, the private equity firm, where she was a researcher, and Sara Arblaster, a corporate finance associate at HSBC.
Arblaster will work in Hong Kong while the other associates will be based in London.
Tim Sheffield, chief executive of Sheffield Haworth, said the new hires reflected an improvement in the company's performance over the last six months.
